Art in Every Room - A Powerful Powder Room

For most, the bathroom is the last place you think about when it comes to art for your home. We've seen some pretty great bathrooms that have shown us that mirrors aren't the only thing to frame in a lavatory.
Some of you are probably thinking, "There's such limited wall space in a bathroom, how much art could we fit in there?" The fact is, that whether you hang one piece, or several, art is a fantastic way to add some charm and personality to a sometimes boring loo. Here are our favorite washrooms that demonstrate this point too perfectly.

1.) The Doubly Vain Double Vanity

One of the issues with a double vanity is that it can begin to look very stretched out and boring. One wide mirror above one long counter atop one giant cabinet and you've turned your beautiful double bathroom into a monstrosity. To break think up visually, use individual mirrors alongside beautifully simple and calming art. Display some of your favorite small photos and treasures among your counter top toiletries. Give your vanities a reason to be vain.

2.) The Weird Windowed Washroom

You'll notice the oddly placed square window above the tub. In a perfect world, every window on every wall would be symmetrically placed. We aren't in a perfect world, and they are not. So, whether your weird window is the result of an almost perfect remodel or is an original feature, take heart! This fresh and updated bathroom has made the most of a would be eyesore and included it in a charming bathroom gallery. An eclectic collage is a great way to camouflage poorly place windows or other fixtures and add class and personality to your personal space.

3.) The Creatively Crowded Comfort Room

A personal favorite, this half bath houses a smattering of art and eclectic mementos. Over-sized Audubon prints, children's art, and medical diagrams show-off the owner's multifaceted taste and provides the room's visitors ample reading material. Simple black and white frames insure that the vibrant art is not upstaged. Tightly packed art adds so much to this small space.

4.) The Restful Retreat

For those who enjoy peace and quiet, this bathroom offers both. Simple frames on vintage botanical prints add color without distracting or deviating from the calm mood of the room.

So, no matter what the style or size of your bath, hanging art let's you give it a personal spin. And as always, if you need some advice, we're here to help.
